    Here's a behind-the-scenes look of how Petri from the Micrographia collection was made. Inspired by viruses under a microscope, colorful inks were dropped into petri dishes and photographed at different stages.     A behind-the-scenes look of the making of Ukiyo. Using the ancient Japanese marbling process of suminagashi, Ukiyo is a contemporary take on the floating ink technique. The designs were handcrafted in-house using traditional ink, water, and paper, then digitally transformed into compelling murals. Launching March 2018!

    The newly opened Cambria Hotel and Suites in New Orleans features custom damask wallcoverings in all of it’s 162 guestrooms. Taking inspiration from the unique architectural history of the city, the pattern is an homage to the grand mansions in NOLA’s Garden District. Designed and printed in collaboration with Forrest Perkins.

    The results are in - 2018 is all about ULTRA VIOLET - according to the color expert friends at Pantone. At the end of each year, we wait in anticipation for Pantone to announce the Color of the Year, and this year, we can say we're pretty excited about Ultra Violet. To honor Pantone's 2018 Color of the Year, we're sharing a few of our patterns recolored to showcase this of the moment shade!

    Astek worked with set decorator Jan Pascale and production designer Jim Bissell to create floor and wallcoverings for the set of Suberbicon. Set in 1950's suburbia, our design team printed authentic vintage patterns from the era for the film.
